New: More flexibility for your store
Posted by Julia Kater on Jul 23, 2026 in: Bandzoogle News, New Features, Selling Music Online

If you sell music, merch, or sheet music through your Bandzoogle store, we've got some powerful updates worth checking out. We've been focused on giving you more flexible ways to earn money, a smoother checkout experience for your fans, and new ways to sell items before they're even ready to ship.
Here's what's new:
Sell pre-orders on physical products
Offer free shipping with discount codes
Accept tips at checkout
Launch a dedicated sheet music store
Sell pre-orders on physical products
Available on Pro and Merch Pro plans, you can now easily accept pre-orders on physical items before they're ready to ship.
This new option allows you to toggle on "Sell as pre-order" inside any store product. Fans will see a Pre-order button instead of Add to Cart, along with a custom message you write to explain timing, goals, or context, which could be "Shipping this July" or "Vinyl ships once we hit 500 orders." Fans pay upfront, get a clearly labeled confirmation email, and you can track every pre-order sale from a dedicated Pre-orders view in your account.
It's a natural fit for new merch drops, vinyl and album releases, limited runs, or tour-exclusive items. It also pairs especially well with a crowdfunding-style store page, where your pre-order message becomes the pitch for fans to help fund your next release.
Offer free shipping with discount codes
Merch Pro members can now create discount codes that cover shipping, in addition to the percentage-based codes you're already using.
When you set up a new code, just select "Free shipping" as the type, and set a minimum cart amount if you want one. At checkout, fans see the shipping cost applied and then discounted to zero. This works whether you're shipping physical merch yourself or fulfilling through Printful.
It's a great option for pre-order or sold-out situations at live shows: if a fan buys in person but you need to mail their item later, you can waive the shipping cost since they've already shown up and supported you at the merch table.
Accept tips at checkout
Available on Pro and Merch Pro plans, you can now let fans tip you directly when they buy from your store.
Set up to four preset tip amounts (like $5, $10, $15, and $20), and optionally turn on custom tips so fans can enter their own amount — you can even set a minimum for those. At checkout, fans see your preset amounts as one-tap buttons, and any tip they add shows up as its own line item, separate from their purchase total. It's an easy way for fans to kick in a little extra support for what you do.
You can manage your presets and custom tip settings from either Checkout Settings or Tip Jar Settings. Both are connected, so a change in one updates the other.

Launch a dedicated sheet music store
Also on Pro and Merch Pro, selling sheet music now has a product type of its own.
You can individual parts — like piano, vocals, or guitar — each with its own name, notes, price, and file. Multiple formats are supported per part, including PDF, MusicXML, Sibelius, Finale, Guitar Pro, and Power Tab, and you can reorder parts to suit scores, sectionals, or arrangements. New composer, arranger, genre, and difficulty fields help fans find and evaluate your listings, and an inline audio preview lets them hear a short excerpt before buying.
If you're selling more than one part, you can turn on an optional bundle price for the full set, with savings shown right in your store.
From pre-orders to tips to sheet music, these updates are all about giving your fans more ways to support you, and giving you more control over how you sell. Whether you're prepping your next release, restocking merch for a tour, or listing sheet music for the first time, we hope these tools make it easier to turn your work into income and help you sell directly from your own music website.
