Choose a record label website template

Bandzoogle offers a variety of record label website templates designed for music industry professionals. Choose one that fits your label's aesthetic and can easily showcase your artists and releases.

To choose a record label template in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the 'Edit Theme' tab, click 'View themes' in the top left corner.
  2. Select 'Record Label' in the menu on the left to view a selection of record label templates
  3. Hover your cursor onto a theme you'd like to try
  4. Click the orange 'Try Theme' button
  5. Make design adjustments if desired, then click 'Save'
  6. Choose 'Yes, publish' to apply your new template to your website

Create a Home page

Your homepage is the first thing visitors will see when landing on your record label website, so you want to grab their attention with a good variety of important content along with a strong call to action.

The content of your homepage should offer a little bit of everything: add a short bio introducing your label and some eye-catching images near the top. Then feature one or two of your artists with their latest single or album for streaming and purchase. Add some of their latest videos here as well, while keeping older ones on the separate artists' pages.

To not clutter your menu, add one main page with a general introduction to the artists you represent, followed by a sub page below it for every artist, which can be viewed in a drop-down menu.

Include the following on your main page: - An 'Image and Text' feature with a short bio and photo of a featured artist - A 'Text' feature listing all the artists you represent - A 'Photo Gallery' feature with a mix of promo photos from different artists - Upcoming events in a 'Calendar' feature

To create your main artist page in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, click 'Pages'
  2. Select 'Add a page'
  3. In the 'Popular' template category, choose the 'Blank page' template
  4. Adjust your page options (see note below)
  5. Name your main page something representative of your client base ("Artists," "Bands," etc)

  6. This will name your page 'Bio' by default; you can adjust that to the artist name or whatever you prefer
  7. Under 'Menu Settings' select 'Subpage'
  8. In the 'Subpage of' drop-down menu, select the main page that you created using the previous steps
  9. Click 'Create my page'

Create a Releases page

Showcase your label's discography by highlighting some of the latest releases. Include sections for albums, singles, and upcoming releases. Make sure to add streaming links, purchase options, and press kits.
